Springfield Power Squadron in District 1 approaches membership, education and safety energetically. All-day coverage of its booth at the annual two-week “Big E” (Eastern States Exposition) garners new members and support for classes and events. Highlights include a full line of education courses with hands-on line and flare sessions on the Connecticut River. Offered as part of the Boat Handling course, the flare sessions are a sight to see, rain or shine! Photo by Jim Long
