Supporting the Marine Technology Program

Cape Fear Sail & Power Squadron in District 27 presented a $2,600 check to the Cape Fear Community College Marine Technology program. This donation by club members will support the education of deserving students over two semesters in this wonderful area of study. CFCC Foundation representatives expressed sincere thanks to the club for helping their students.

Shining a light on safety

Springfield Power Squadron in District 1 approaches membership, education and safety energetically. All-day coverage of its booth at the annual two-week “Big E” (Eastern States Exposition) garners new members and support for classes and events. Highlights include a full line of education courses with hands-on line and flare sessions on the Connecticut River. Raising hope for flood victims

Memphis Sail & Power Squadron in District 17 donates over $1,000 in supplies and gift cards to flood victims in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, after torrential rains last year left tens of thousands homeless and destroyed more than 40,000 homes.

The Squadron Emergency Response Assistance Team of Waukegan Sail & Power Squadron in District 20 provides a safe platform for photographers aboard a free-ranging photography boat during the Tall Ships Chicago Parade of Sail.

Every year, District 8’s Vero Beach Power Squadron holds a fishing outing for the Boys and Girls Club of Indian River County. In addition to catching fish, the children enjoy learning about boating safety and conservation.

Members of District 21’s Houston Sail & Power Squadron work with Sea Scouts to harvest over 3,000 smooth cordgrass plants for replanting in Dickenson Bayou to help restore 27 acres of wetlands around Galveston Bay.
